Don't worry - if you're frantically wondering where the OneNoffs boutique went, and how you will get your fingers on some vintage threads - take a breath.

The OneNoffs boutique in Randwick has merged with our warehouse store in preparation for our move and expansion onto Oxford Street early next year.

Meanwhile, we at OneNoffs HQ are still scouting for a location for the boutique - as well as designers to recreate our clothing! Know somewhere? Want to design? Email us at lloydo@noffs.org.au

ECOuture

Last night OneNoffs attended the ECOuture Fashion Show, whereby young designers from UTS and TAFE NSW set out to create environmentally friendly fashions. Students used a variety of materials - from recycled clothing found in OpShops, to Bamboo and environmentally green wool.

Whilst all the entires were fantastic - there could only be one winner, judges Clara Vuletich - textile expert and fashion lecturer from London (visit her blog at http://www.loveandthrift.com), ex pro-surfer Graeme Brooks, Sanra Mellos and OneNoffs own Oliver Lloyd collaborated on their ideas. Students were judged on their innovation, execution and the practicality of the outfit constructed. Tammy Luk took home first place for her fabulous gothic-chic one shoulder creation.

Congratulations to all involved. ECOuture are running a charity auction, you can bid on the items here:

OneNoffs have donated 3 Henry Roth recreations especially to the auction to raise funds for the cause.

Viva Australia

Here at OneNoffs HQ we are always looking for the hottest trends amongst Australian designers. Right now, one of our favourite labels is Love Chile (pronounced Chyle) - a distinctly edgy brand created by Australian TV-Presenter Faye De Lanty that draws inspiration from the 70's rock aesthetic. Think Sass and Bide + Mick Jagger + Nicole Richie.

Not only is Faye busy drawing up designs for her fabulous label, but she has also recently begun producing her very own YouTube Channel - Fashion Hound. Fashion Hound focuses on all areas of fashion around Sydney, and is a great watch for anyone interested in style tips, fashion personality interviews and where to grab the best buys in Sydney - and more!

A brief introduction...

As in introductory blog post, here’s a brief run-down on exactly what OneNoffs, a social enterprise founded by Rupert Noffs is all about.

noffs.jpg
To put it simply, OneNoffs is a vintage clothing store with a modern twist. The clothing we receive often harbours huge potential. The fabrics, craftsmanship and style may be stunning, but sometimes vintage clothing can lack that ‘edge’ that makes it wearable today. So, we send off our clothing to up and coming designers. These designers rework the clothing – updating the cuts, lengths, removing parts, adding features – the list goes on! The reworked garments are then sold exclusively through our OneNoffs store, with proceeds going to charity (designers receive 20% of the final sale price). When customers buy from OneNoffs they’re not only buying vintage fashion, but also fashion with a conscious. Think of it as ‘charity-chic’.
With a very LA feel about them, One Noffs is encouraging design students and designers from around Sydney to get involved. In the words of founder Rupert Noffs “The opportunity for young designers to come into the store and mix and match, snip and sew clothes, is a very exciting and entrepreneurial idea for young people to get involved in.”

So, if you’re a up and coming or already established designer in Sydney and you would either like to get your name and designs out there, or simply give something back to a good cause – get in contact with us now!

vintage-mister-freedom.jpgWith an all-new Oxford Street location for OneNoffs, a YouTube sitcom being filmed, and an array of other exciting projects in the works, the brand is going from strength to strength and is set to become one of Sydney’s top vintage fashion retailers.
